General/Sedative Anesthesia
The term “Arrowed-nose” is derived from a droopy tip
that makes one’s nose to look like an arrow, giving off a strong and fierce impression.
Nasal tip ptosis is caused due to long and sagging tip cartilage,
and this can be corrected by raising the tip.
Ptotic nasal tip surgery is classified as one of the most
difficult surgeries requiring highly sophisticated skills.
Therefore it is important to be performed by a clinically experienced specialist.
Have droopy nasal tip that looks like an arrowhead
Are unsatisfied with the length and shape of the nasal tip
Have disproportional nose length
A portion of the nasal tip cartilage
is excised and tied together to
raise the tip.
This procedure elevates the tip
and reduces the nasal length at
the same time.
Autologous cartilage is engrafted
on the septum area in order
to serve as a strong support
for the tip cartilage.
In the case of severe nasal ptosis,
a small incision is made inside
the nostrils in order to excise the
nasal muscle.
Engrafting autologous cartilage
firmly fixates the tip, preventing
the reoccurrence of the nasal ptosis.
Nasal bridge augmentation can be
performed together in the case of
low bridge.
