Sedative/General Anesthesia
Front chin surgery (Genioplasty) relocates the genial bone to correct excessively
long or retreated chin with proper occlusion.
Depending on the severity of the cases, surgery methods may vary from fat grafting
to implant augmentation.
Have protruded and long front chin with proper occlusion
Have small front chin with proper occlusion
Have long or short front chin
Have wide and flat front chin
Through intra-oral incision, the chin bone is fractured horizontally,
moved forward and fixated to place the chin in the desired position.
Through an incision made on the intra-oral mucous membrane, the periosteum
is lifted to secure enough space for implant insertion.
Then, implant is inserted and fixated.
This method is usually performed together with square jaw surgery.
The jaw bone is fractured, trimmed into the right shape and is engrafted
on the front chin to achieve an ideal chin length and shape.
Cut the mucosa of the tip of the jaw up to 2-3cm. Lift the
periosteum, cut the jawbone by the planned amount, and six the
remaining two parts to finish.
The genial bone is fractured in T-shape and put together to reduce the
length and the width of the front chin.
