The advanced state of Korean plastic surgery and medical service is being recognized all around the world. There are more and more members of

the foreign press visiting Korea and giving praise about Korea’s highly advanced systems and techniques. 

To witness medical service and plastic surgery in Korea, foreign press members visited Wonjin Plastic Surgery Clinic and held an interview with the representative Dr. Park Wonjin. 

“Foreign press members always look at a hospital’s scale first. ‘Large’ is the most widely used expression, and many visitors are impressed with the size and scale of our clinic. We believe this is a great first impression and welcome the favorable response”

After responding to foreign press’ first impression, Dr. Park of Wonjin Plastic Surgery Clinic explained in detail about plastic surgery. 

“Foreign press members are very interested in Korean plastic surgeries and techniques used. They are especially curious about surgeries like two

jaw with dramatic before and after changes. Sometimes recording time of our clinic is extended because members of the foreign press want to film everything. Beginning with consultation, the surgical process, and even our after surgery care system and equipment are sometimes recorded.”

Dr. Park continued by sharing what foreign press from Australia SBS station felt after visiting Wonjin Plastic Surgery Clinic. 

“This may sound presumptuous but when Australia SBS members came to film us they called ‘Wonjin Plastic Surgery Clinic general hospital

standard.’ They really wanted to showcase our safety system and personnel, as well as our before and after surgery cooperative system. They even

extended their recording schedule and after filming ended told us, ‘we can see the future of Korean plastic surgery through Wonjin.’ We are

grateful for their high praise.” 

US Golfing Country and Medical Tourism Overseas has selected Wonjin Plastic Surgery Clinic as the representative of Korean beauty and aesthetic 

industry. Press members visited Wonjin Plastic Surgery Clinic to introduce foreign patient treatment. Dr. Park Wonjin explained about the press 

members’ response regarding before surgery procedures. 

“The American filming crew expressed interest in our before surgery prep work. Our before surgery process includes health examinations,

simulation surgery, data collection, analysis, as well as joint meetings among departments. The film team noted how our extensive pre surgery

process was very safe and rated it highly.”

When asked about foreign press members who were greatly impacted by visiting, Dr. Park commented about UAE MBC press members. 

“Arab Emirates MBC came to introduce Korea’s plastic surgery culture and the reporter directly experienced treatment. A visitor to our Wonjin

website after viewing the footage online remarked, ‘I am amazed that even conservative Arabs are interested in plastic surgery, and I am proud

that through Wonjin Plastic Surgery Clinic, Korean plastic surgery and medical service is gaining awareness.’” 

Finally, when asked what foreign patients should be worried about Dr. Park gave us a detailed response. “Plastic surgery is all about the before

and after care and the clinic should be well equipped for any emergency situations that can arise. Even for domestic patients, the first thing they

consider when selecting a plastic surgery clinic is how specialized and safe the clinic is.” 

Recently, foreign press from Japan’s Yomiuri News, Mongolian TV 9, Ukraine’s Inter TV, Philippines ABX-CBN have all recognized Wonjin Plastic

and was awarded the 2013 Medical Korea by the Ministry of Health & Welfare.
